Botulinum toxin, or Botox, injections into the skin in very low doses can stop underarm sweating.

  • This procedure is quite expensive as it is also used for beautification purposes.
  • The pain coming from the injection is painful but tolerable and takes around 30–45 minutes to finish.
  • Botox works on the nerves by deactivating the trigger of the sweat glands.
  • One treatment which consists of 12 injections stops armpit sweating and is good for 2–8 months.
